Spray Booth
Powder booths utilize a fan assembly with a protective filter section
and a containment vessel to pull air into the booth. This system,
called a recovery system, captures the oversprayed powder for reuse or
disposal. The recovery system provides the necessary containment and
safety air, and recovers the oversprayed powder. Properly designed
systems have a primary filter and a secondary filter, commonly
referred to as the final filter. The first filter is used to separate
the oversprayed powder from the air for reclaim and the final filter
is used to remove any particles that have passed through the primary
filter, keeping the working environment free of powder particles.
Commonly used recovery systems include the cyclone system, the filter
belt booth, the cartridge module system, mini-cyclone systems and
sometime systems that combine technologies in the same booth.
